As of right now, LSCity RP is currently in BETA stage. Please stay with us and help us test the new script, because once it's ready to go the server will go public.

When it goes public we will have a better server and everything you could ask for. I will buy us a domain, small vent server, etc. Donations will be up when the server goes live, because as of right now we have no need for donations. Thanks, and have a good one.

RAM: 1048MB DDR1 700speed.
HDD: 320GB SATA High speed
COOLING: 9 air fans.
DISTRO: Ubuntu 64bit Server; linux

Since we're on the topic, I'm currently setting up my server so as soon as I get the script I will be good to go. I will try to make it as fast as possible. It's a gaming rig, so spec wise it'll be better than most servers. Internet wise.. well.. you get the picture.

i wanted to ask, the server aint going to be canadien right? i mean we need something more central, otherwise ill have huge lags.
like in the LSRP vent which i had 28K ping.

The beta will, as I live in Canada. Unless you want to pay $90 for a server a month before there is even 10 people on, then I wouldn't complain.

When the script comes out of beta, we'll evaluate how many people we have and I will purchase a real dedicated server. But as I said, for beta stages the server is just a spare box I have in my house.

No, the public version will definately be run off a dedicated server; assuming we have more then 10 active people. The more people that are in the beta, the more money I will spend (with hopeful donations aswell :p).

To put in perspective..

* a 50-man ventrilo server costs about $18 canadian a month.
* a domain costs about $10 a year (this is no problem lol.)
* a server and internet that will hold 50-100 players costs $60-$100 depending on the provider.

Al in all I'll be spending about $150 a month if I went fullboard. I can't afford this, period. If you guys want a big bad ass server that can hold 200 people, then I suggest donating; because we can't afford $150 a month.

I managed to get a dedicated internet for the server, but it's slow.

The internet is shotty but it won't be hindered by my wireless blotch and my own gaming. It's a cheap internet but it will easily support 10-20 people.

Another update I will be putting linux on the server for maximum security. I'm excited about this because I've never used linux, so it'll be a challenge.

Along with this within the next few days I will purchase a domain (once we have a official name) so we can have our own www.namehere.com site.

We all do

I put in four extra fans I found around my house into the desktop and adjusted my cpu speed. It was overclocked and I completely forgot about it.

I have installed the server version of Ubuntu. I have wiped the entire HD and we now have 315GBs to use up.

All in all it will be a very stable machine, but it`s really loud right now and I think I miht move it around lol.

i got a 200 slot server for free.

and i can get us a server for less than 100$ easily.

You have a 200 slot server of what? Vent or SAMP?

SAMP server with 200 slots, its now running the old GF mode, but its not on purpose, no one gets in anyway so im not going to take care of it untile we will have something to do with it (we, PCG2 team, its the name of the server)

What are the speccs on the server? Btw, you don't really know if it's a 200 slot server unless you get 200 people in there. It could lag horrendously.

no, its the best hosting company in my country, i dont really know what are the speccs on that server but i know its high.
